I could happen
On these feelings,
But I've known they're
Here so long.
I could live
Lives never ending.
I'd get bored though,
Right or wrong.
It's the strangest
Kind of feeling,
Saying nothing
Tied by tongue.
In the moment
You don't sense it.
You pass through me
Then you're gone.
I could follow
And I'm tempted,
I could catch up
But it's wrong.
Try to force
The unexpected.
You'd guess my name,
I'd turn to stone.
What's left?
I'll be defensive.
Find a corner,
Bite my tongue.
Curse the stars
Berate my senses.
Wind up dead
And all alone.
I say no!
This page lays empty.
I shall fill it
With a song.
I will open
My defenses,
Pen a sonnet,
Loose my tongue.
In a fit
Of inspiration
I am lighted
By your form.
You're a vision
Held by waters
Fit to burst
Yet, ever strong.
What's left now
But to show you?
I am wracked
By shaking bones.
You may find me
In a moment.
Frozen hard.
Love make me strong!
Help me tell her,
See me through this,
I'll be you're slave
Forever more.
For with her
I shall conquer
Any challenges
In store.
